Picture trouble

Hmmm.... blogger is eating my photos. One minute I have a picture of a gnarly, rabid racoon, the next day... nothin.

I'm workin' on it... Photobucket just did a revamp of their site and I think it changed the way the pics post. Anyhoo. Worked hard outside yesterday and my yard looks pur-ty! VERY purty, actually. Nine variteties of daylily planted and I can't wait till they bloom! I burned a huge pile of brush and didn't manage to catch any trees on fire, but it was close. I also sprayed ALL the weeds all around the barn and everywhere they were needed with weed killer. When I was Allll done... I went to put the sprayer away and realized I hadn't added the weed killer mixture... ::sigh:: but I'm sure the weeds all appreciated the extra attention :)

Then I also saw a mouse in my shed. Ewwwwww! Then about an hour later when I was (not)spraying the weeds I saw a SNAKE! Haven't seen one of those in a long time and was just content in the middle of my yard. I looked it up on the internet and found it was only a common little brownsnake and harmless. Whatever. I am NEVER going barefoot in that yard again!

Okey dokey then. But I got a bunch done and I'm feelin' really a LOT better than I have in a long, long, LONG time. Amen. And now.. time to go to work but I"m gonna try to keep the good feelin' going even then. The hell with them... they almost beat me down, but I'm on the upswing now... :) Enjoy your day.

Good for you, for all the hard work you did and for not letting those asshats at work get you down.

I almost spit my coffee all over my keyboard when a read about your non weed spraying. That is so something I would do.

Many years back my husband was going to spray the dandelions, my daughter was around 5 or 6 and she was so mad at him for killing the pretty yellow flowers. He got the sprayer with what he thought was weed killer and sprayed our yard and being the nice neighbor he is, sprayed behind our neighbors garage. The next couple of days was very hot and muggy. Well it turns out he grabbed the sprayer with miracle grow in it. We ended up with the biggest dandelions I have ever seen, my daughter was very happy. We all still give him shit about that.

So just know, you are not alone.

Have a good one, hugs

I think on the weed spraying you really do get points for trying! And don't snakes eat mice?

I just about bust a gut laughing over the extra attention the weeds got! That is so totally something I would do. More than once...
