I have the weirdest cat in History.

After the bus was 45 min late (and I already have to wait 45 min cuz since last week they did away with my earlier bus route to cut costs)... I get home to a meowing kitty. She's been doin' this lately and i can't for the life of me figure out why. But lately there's been a pattern. I always keep her food bowl full - she's not lacking. But it seems that all the constant and really annoying meowing while staring me in the face and following every step I take - is that the princess would like her food "topped off". Same brand, same day, but as soon as I add a few pebbles more she's quiet and all I hear is chomping...

Hah! I have a fussy kitty who likes her food to be "freshened" also sometimes. However I have successfully psyched her out by picking up the bowl, acting like I was adding more (including rattling the contents a bit), and then setting the bowl back down. This has worked a few times and makes me ridiculously happy.

Yes, I get joy from outsmarting a cat. Pathetic, eh?

She's just making sure that you know who's boss :-)

I too am a bowl rattler for my fussy cat. You are not alone in living with a "queen" cat.

Yes, we call it "fluffing." As in, "Can someone fluff the cat food? She's driving me crazy."
