First the crab legs, then today - the ultimate pig roast. I mean this was THE most lavish cookout I've been to. Evah. A full on whole slow roasted pig and after that everything you can imagine. Jerk chicken, Jamaican beef and chicken patties, ox tails (I'm still tryin' to figure out what the heck they were???), curried goat and other things that I still don't even know what they were - so along with that and every side dish you can imagine, and about 1400 desserts - one of which - the homemade strawberry cheesecake - turned into my bestest ever cheesecake of my life. And I don't lie. I am just too full and I needed to tell someone ::laughing:::.
But even better... the hostess gave out "to go" boxes so everyone could take home more. I'm sooo full... and from the look of my box of leftovers, tomorrow shouldn't be a problem either.
So I'm off to bed early tonight. The plan is to attack the lawn tomorrow, and "attack" is the right word - I'm afraid to walk out there it's so tall. And besides.. I'm afeared after the other day when I went to the garden and came in to find out i had the hugest of huge, slimy, icky, gross garden snails affixed to my foot. Oh yes, dearies, I did the "ick - big bug is stuck to my freakin' foot" dance. It wasn't pretty either *grin*.
So, yes, I think it's time i went nighty, night even if it IS only 8:30 on a Saturday night. I might not live wild, but I have very comfy pillows *grin*. Carry on.

Ooooo...roasted piggy! I haven't had that in ages! There's something about roasting the whole oinker all day that just gives it the most amazing flavor, ya know?
I believe ox tails are exactly that - tails of oxen. I know you can use them to make soup, but I'm not sure what else.
Those to-go boxes are a cool idea. I'm going to store that away for future reference. So was it a pitch in, group party or is there an exhausted hostess out there still trying to recover.
