Did I ever show you this?

I made that *grin*. About a hundred years ago, and hours and hours of reading and teaching myself to do it - this was pretty much my best piece and needs to be cleaned a little.. but I like it. (the VERy best I gave away to a very close friend who ended up betraying me in a most heinous way - and I still want that piece of glass back!) Anyway.. I'm havin' a sick day today... my head feels ready to explode and I can't sit still and I can't tolerate another xanax - I needed a break ... so I'm just wanderin' around the house and stuff and I found it tucked behind a cabinet (I have no windows large enough to hang it). So then I wandered out to the shed that years ago we had turned into a stained glass workshop, and I was suddenly realizing how much beautiful glass I have out there... and thousands of patterns... and now I'm sort of inspired to get back into it.

But the shed is a mess. Why oh why is it so hard to find a handy, strong, man or two that would offer to help a girl out for an afternoon. ::sigh:: I don't know either, but for right now ... the wood floor out there is rotted, bees nests.. just dirty, yucky and I don't like to be in there... but then I see the glass colors shine in the sun and I'm still inspired. We shall see :)

Hope you are feeling better and have a wonderful weekend.

Wow! That is amazing! If the spirit is moving you, I'd say see if you can't try working with glass again. Of course, the shed situation might be a bit of an obstacle, but it could be worth it.

I'm sorry to hear that the work situation is getting ugly. Just remember, they have lawyers on retainer and are getting all the advice they need. You deserve the same!

Woman - that is just beautiful! I cannot believe you are hiding your light under a bushel like this! You do realize you could sell glass pieces like that and make money, right? If you've got a hankering to get back into it I'd say go for it!

As for the shed - I dunno if this will work for you - but in my town one the local contractor company's always has a couple of guys willing to do unskilled and/or skilled labor for cash on the weekends. You just kind of have to ask around a bit.

You amaze me, my friend! That's one pretty hunk of wonderful. Bet the sun shining through it is beautiful. You've got talent and you should flaunt it. That could be your new career once you get out of that awful place (work). Been missing ya and will get in touch again soon. I'm so tired of feeling tired. I know you are too. xxoo
