1 cup water, 3 T grits and pinch of salt and a smidge of butter if ya want - boil kind of slow (so they cook good) till they thicken. Pour some in a bowl - add two slices of yellow cheese and pour more grits on top - let melt for a minute. Then stir and say "YUM"!
I read somewhere about grits and shrimp which I've never had, but it's been on my mind for a while and I might have to look up some recipes today.
Ok, the cheese in mine is melted and I gotta go eat. YUM.
