Fried potatoes with onion

It's what's for breakfast this mornin' and it smells good. It's a cold, rainy 4th of July mornin' here and I'm in the mood for food. *grin* I've already been out to the hot tub and I gotta say, I was countin' my blessings for havin' it 'cuz I surely enjoyed it this morning. I think I'm gonna get some serious cleaning done today.. the most hated kind of cleaning. I don't know about you, but the thing I hate most is mopping. I hate mopping. I could mope about mopping, but I won't... I'm just gonna get 'er done. Yay. But it's ok... I'm gonna party like a wild woman later and break out a six pack of sparklers. I live a wild life over here. And I am blessed :)

12:30 update - OMG. That was SO gross!!! And no, I'm not talkin' about the mopping 'cuz I haven't done that yet and I don't think it's really gonna be gross... hehehe... but I did take some ribs out to thaw, went and picked a flat of strawberries for jam, made a fresh batch of chapphati bread and chased that groundhog out of the yard again .... but here's the GROSS thing... I went to check out the grill to get it ready for the ribs and there were two giant bees nests in there! What could I do? Can't spray poison bee killer spray in the grill - so I closed the lid and fired it up. Oh sooooooo gross. The bees "popped" in there and it sounded just like popcorn. Ewww..... see what I mean?? And now I gotta go clean 'em out. Wish me luck *grin*.

3:00 update - If you could be here now.... the aroma of those ribs out there on the grill will knock you silly. mmmmm... it's worth the time and trouble just for the way it smells cookin'. And why not treat myself on a holiday is what I say. Trouble is, I say that a lot hehehe. I did have invites for the weekend, to a graduation and an anniversary - but it's cooollllddd and windy and grey out there. It's best to stay in tonight... the sparklers can wait for tomorrow :)

5:00 update - Who needs Twitter?? ::laughing:: Ok, so I just about burned my fingers off eatin' those ribs 'cuz I was in too much of a hurry to wait for 'em to cool and was grabbin' 'em right off the grill, but it was so worth it. And I've got a vanilla cake in the oven right now for strawberry shortcake. And I must say, I really have enjoyed this day of treatin' myself like company. My belly is full, and I'm workin' on a doozy of a post for ya... I think I might have one more dip in the hot tub - it's a windy and wild kind of night out there, and then a nice piece of shortcake and early to bed on sheets fresh from the dryer.

And from morning to night - I am blessed.

It is such a dreary day, isn't it? It's going to rain all day here, so much for a nice long weekend...

I wish I could have been there for the 'burning of the bees.' No, not really. :) But I would have loved having the breakfast you had this morning. You know I'm a potatoes and onion kind of girl. The ribs sounded wonderful, did you save me any? :)

You are VERY bless, dear girl. Hot tub, ribs, cake with berries. Yeah, that's living the good life. xxoo

We had ribs today, too! I just can't make them myself, but have a dad who does it rather well. Yay!

Sounds like you had a great 4th. Enjoy the rest of it as well!
