Hello there

I'm a bad blogger... but I've just been really, really busy. Like my gramma always used to say "the hurrier I go the behinder I get". So true. And my blood pressure has been actin' up and doesn't seem to want to come down from the triple digits (I can't imagine why? ME? Stressed? go figure) So there's that, so now I have my own little machine and have to monitor it several times a day along with some new meds - so I'm tryin' to get that under control. But on a better note - I actually got on the Wii Fit the other day just for the heck of it and it told me I've lost 14.2 pounds! Can I get a whoo-hoo! But don't hate.... there was no magic involved, just no appetite either for the last few weeks... although I sure could go for a Mcdonalds hot fudge sundae right about now *grin*.

And I'm still workin' on keepin' the critters out of the garden, but honestly, with work and an hour commute each way there just hasn't been time for much of anything.. and now.. I have a NEW critter problem. Something is somehow managing to get my hummingbird feeders off their hooks and completely draining them. I've had those feeders up for years and never had a problem until now. Then I noticed the water was going down too fast and yesterday I saw that the metal decoration on one feeder was all bent back. What the hell? So I filled both again and hung them up - this morning I came out to find both empty and one on the ground! How the heck an animal got that feeder off that really curved hook I haven't a clue. But it did. And I know it wasn't the woodchuck OR a really big hummingbird....

Good to hear from you, started to worry.

Whoo-hoo on the 14.2 pounds. Figure out how you did it and let me know. I would like to know so I can drop some pounds. Maybe if I put this cookie down?? No that can't be it.

I think you might have a squirrel messing with your feeders. They can get into almost anything.

You have yourself a good weekend. Enjoy how ever you see fit.

My first thought on the hummingbird feeder was - squirrels! Those cute little devils definitely could do something like that. I've no clue what to do about it though, but I suspect others will have advice.

And don't worry about the blog, sometimes you just gotta take care of yourself first!

When I see that level of creativity in the destruction of yard paraphenalia, I always think, "raccoon." They are the masters, in my opinion.

Congrats on the weight loss! Way to go!!!

Yeah you on losing the weight. Even better that is came easy to you.
Put noisy things near the hummingbird feeders. Birds won't care, animals will hate it!

I agree with Sheepish Annie. Do you have racoons where you are?

Congrats on the weight loss. And the McDonald's sundae? You're as bad as me. I had to stop at Baskins Robbins (yes they have one in the 'big harsh') to get Pralines and Cream. Just a pint, and it didn't eat much because of the teeth, but it was heavenly. Long time since I treated myself to one. xxoo

I agree with Annie, the critter HAS to be a raccoon - they are very clever!
