Shopping.

For food. I know, I know... my freezer and shelves are full. But my fridge is empty. EMPTY i say. And I'm hungry. I just came from the store and wandered the aisles, but couldn't find anything that I wanted. And I'm still hungry... but just don't have the energy to even nuke somethin' much less cook. This is no fun.

I need to find me a hunky strong man who likes to cook on occassion. hehe. But then again, I'd probably forget all about food if I had him :)

But I'm still hungry now! I even allowed myself to buy bread at the store (I usually don't because I'm addicted to toast and I was afraid of this.) But I always like toast - so toast it shall be.

Isn't my blog just thrilling these days. Yeah... I know. I'm reduced to talking about toast... but toast is safe for now.. so there ya go. Now.. what to put on it? butter straight up, peanut butter, jam or live wild and do cinnamon toast. Or should I include a poached egg? Or make french toast?

I bet you never thought dinner for one could involve so many questions, would ya? Me either.

I find myself with much the same struggle-except I am stranded at home and can't reach the outside freezer. My response is to often go without eating all day. With all our traveling I find that even if I want to cook, I'm missing a key componant. At least you are doing toast. I seem to gravitate toward sugar-Lemonheads, Juji Fruits, old frozen chocolate. And I wonder why my weight is always an issue. SIGH

I've made the decision to go back to frozen dinners once school starts. I am so sick of cooking and all the effort it requires. I just want dinner. I don't want to work for it.

Maybe I should eat more toast...

I don't cook in the summer because it's too darn hot! So I'm living off frozen microwave-able stuff, salads, and chip & dips. And my little grocery store is truly uninspiring - believe me!

OMG! I can so relate to this! Sometimes I find myself just making a scrambled egg on toast and calling it dinner. I need to get more veggies in me definitely. Just so tired from work though and it's not going to get better soon. Maybe with the furlough days I'll have to take and, hopefully, the weather getting cooler I'll be inspired to eat better. I hate humidity! xxoo
